CAA Signs Jonathan Daviss from “Outer Banks” for Role as Young Snoop Dogg in Upcoming Universal Biopic
EXCLUSIVE: CAA has signed Jonathan Daviss, representing him in all areas of his career.
Daviss gained prominence for his role as Pope Heyward in the Netflix series Outer Banks, and he recently completed filming the show’s final season. He is set to portray Snoop Dogg in an upcoming biopic from Universal Pictures, a role he secured following a competitive global casting search led by Francine Maisler. The film is directed by Craig Brewer and produced by Brian Grazer in collaboration with Snoop Dogg and Death Row Pictures.
A native of Conroe, Texas, Daviss is a graduate of the British American Drama Academy’s Oxford program, where he honed his craft alongside notable alumni like Chadwick Boseman, Ruth Negga, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
Daviss made his Netflix debut in Do Revenge, directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, sharing the screen with Maya Hawke and Camila Mendes. He subsequently starred in Outer Banks alongside Madelyn Cline, Rudy Pankow, and Madison Bailey. Through his performances, Daviss has garnered a substantial following, amassing nearly 7 million followers across social media platforms.
