Burbank High School Evacuated Following Threatening Phone Call
Burbank High School officials evacuated the campus and dismissed students on Wednesday after receiving a threatening phone call, NBC Los Angeles has reported.
Details regarding the nature of the threat remain unclear; however, school authorities confirmed that the call posed a risk to the campus.
In a communication to parents, the school detailed the evacuation process. "Out of an abundance of caution, we are dismissing students at this time," said Principal Steven Hubbell in the email. "The Burbank Police Department is currently on campus and is actively working in coordination with school administration and district officials to investigate the situation and ensure safety."
The school pledged to update parents with more information as it becomes available, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a secure environment for students and staff.
