Bunnie Xo Shares Honest Update on Her Facelift Recovery Journey: A Personal Reflection
Bunnie Xo Shares Insights on Facelift Recovery
Influencer Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, provided a candid update regarding her recovery from a recent facelift. In a video shared on her Instagram account on March 22, she expressed the challenges of her post-surgery experience. "When it’s day 6 of your recovery, you have cabin fever, you watched every 2000’s movie, can barely walk [without] being winded, live in a recliner, feel like you’re being choked from ear to ear," the 46-year-old wrote. She added that despite advice from friends that "day 7 is the best day," she felt disheartened.
In the video, Bunnie Xo was seen lip-syncing and dancing to Phil Collins and Philip Bailey’s song “Easy Lover,” accompanied by two friends who seemed to support her during recovery. She humorously noted in her caption, “I kno [sic], I did this to myself but damn.”
The influencer had previously hinted at her intention to undergo the procedure last month, stating on her "Dumb Blonde" podcast in February, “Just gonna tack it back. Just a little bit.” Bunnie Xo acknowledged her fears but expressed a desire to complete the surgery before turning 65.
On March 13, she reiterated her need for support, saying, “Send lots of prayers for your girl.” She cautioned her followers not to be alarmed by her appearance post-surgery, admitting it would be "a little weird."
Just three days post-operation, she shared a visual update, revealing her swollen face while jokingly comparing her look to comedian Bert Kreischer.
On March 17, Bunnie Xo elaborated on her decision to proceed with the facelift, explaining that lingering filler from previous procedures contributed to her choice. “For everyone asking why I decided to do a facelift, old filler was one of the main reasons,” she stated. Bunnie Xo added that after halting filler treatments over three years ago, the residual product led to complications, including itchiness and swelling, a concern she hopes will resonate with others considering similar treatments.
