BTS Teams Up with MLB for Opening Week, Bringing Excitement with ‘ARIRANG’ and New Videos

BTS is set to make a notable impact as Major League Baseball (MLB) kicks off its new season. On March 24, the league announced that tracks from the band’s latest album, ARIRANG, will serve as the backdrop for its social media content during opening week.
This announcement came via the first of three promotional videos that BTS and MLB will circulate through their social media channels. The initial clip features “FYA,” a high-energy track from the new album, synchronized with dynamic footage of prominent players, including the Yankees’ Aaron Judge, the Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani, and the Mets’ Juan Soto, as they make impressive plays on the field.
A second video is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, coinciding with the first game of the 2026 season between the New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park in California, which will be streamed live by Netflix. Baseball’s traditional opening day will follow on Thursday, featuring 13 games.
A third and final collaboration video between BTS and MLB will be released the following week.
This partnership comes shortly after BTS marked their much-anticipated return with the release of ARIRANG and a major concert in Seoul. The timing is significant as members RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook are currently in the United States for promotional activities. Following a Spotify fan event on Monday, they are set to make appearances on back-to-back episodes of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airing Wednesday and Thursday.
Earlier this month, MLB also showcased its global reach by releasing an official soundtrack for the World Baseball Classic, produced by Latin star Tainy. This three-track project features a diverse lineup, including Becky G, YEONJUN of TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Myke Towers, Young Miko, and Fujii Kaze, capturing the international spirit of the tournament.
