The Florida Georgia Line duo appears to be working on reconciliation. Brian Kelley recently posted a humorous Instagram Reel commemorating a hike with his former partner Tyler Hubbard, signaling attempts to mend their relationship after the group’s split in 2022.
On Friday, January 2, Kelley shared a playful video that begins with him decked out in hiking gear while “Turn the Lights Off” by KATO plays in the background. The clip then transitions to a dancing meme of Jon Hamm from *Your Friends & Neighbors*, set against the backdrop of Florida Georgia Line’s hit song “Cruise.” Kelley’s caption reads, “After Going on the Hike with T-Hubb.”
“Solid hike bro @tylerhubbard,” Kelley noted in his post, to which Hubbard, 38, responded enthusiastically with emoji feedback.
This hike comes shortly after Hubbard spoke on the *Human School Podcast*, revealing that he and Kelley had not been in frequent contact over the past couple of years but expressed a strong desire to reconnect. “I miss the guy I was partners with for 10 years. I miss my old roommate, my best man at my wedding,” he expressed. “If nothing else, we should have a relationship.”

During the podcast, Hubbard spoke candidly about his wish to “get my friend back.” He reflected on their past success, stating, “We should be doing life together in some capacity still.”
The friends experienced a rift in 2020, attributed to differing political views during the presidential election. Hubbard revealed he had briefly unfollowed Kelley on Instagram, explaining that it was not personal but rather due to content that didn’t resonate with him at the time. Later, he reassured Kelley of his enduring brotherly affection.
In 2022, Florida Georgia Line announced their split after 12 years together, transitioning to solo careers. Both artists clarified that their political differences were not the primary cause of their separation.
