Brabus Series on Prime Video: Premiere Date and Trailer Highlights Luxury Cars
Brabus Documentary Series Set to Premiere on Prime Video
A new documentary series titled Brabus: One Second Wow is poised to launch on Prime Video on February 26. Produced by Leonine Studios’ i&u Studios, the series will be available in Germany, the U.S., the UK, Australia, and Canada. Leonine has secured a distribution deal with Amazon and is exploring additional outlets for the program.
The six-part series delves into the world of high-end supercars, spotlighting the Brabus team responsible for manufacturing and marketing these luxury vehicles, along with associated lifestyle products. Central to the series is Constantin Buschmann, the young CEO and owner of Brabus, who maintains exceptionally high standards for both the company and himself.
The trailer opens with Buschmann expressing a desire for more progress: “It wasn’t enough for me. I felt like we could do more.” Amidst scenes showcasing a promising car launch, he is later seen grappling with frustration, stating, “I just want a fucking result.”
The documentary captures the drama leading up to Brabus’s annual flagship event, a supercar fashion show where the latest collection is revealed to over 1,000 international guests. Filming locations included Los Angeles, Milan, Cannes, and Dubai, as well as Brabus’s headquarters in Bottrop, Germany, which has been crafting high-end supercars, motorcycles, and boats since 1977.
As the successor to his father, Brabus founder Constantin Buschmann, the series follows Buschmann and his partner, Creative Director Mili Umicevic, as they navigate both their professional lives and personal relationship in the luxury automotive sector. The series will feature various celebrity clients and business partners.
Buschmann commented on the intensity of his role, saying, “Imagine giving 150 percent, day in and day out, for years – driving flat out to take a real company into the future; A company where things truly matter every single day, where you and your team are responsible for putting food on families’ tables at the end of each month, and one your father quite literally devoted his life to building.
“Nearly 50 years of history; a business spanning from Bottrop to Los Angeles. Thousands of opinions, sleepless nights and countless responsibilities that come with being a CEO – all included. And then, suddenly, there are cameras around every day, and someone says, ‘Since we’re already rolling, maybe you could also share a few private moments as a couple…’ Sounds perfectly reasonable – what could possibly go wrong?”
Christian Meinberger, the series producer and Chief Digital Officer at Leonine Studios, stated, “With Brabus: One Second Wow, we are not only telling the story of a modern German luxury brand but also opening up a new perspective on the world behind BRABUS. In producing the series, we are particularly proud of the hybrid storytelling approach we establish with this format.
“This innovative docu-reality concept combines the depth of a brand-driven documentary with the immediacy and lightness of a personality-driven lifestyle series. The result is a portrait of a truly owner-led company – with all its facets, presented as openly and accessibly as never before.”
Christian Meinberger serves as the producer for the series, with Philip Grabow as the executive producer and Martina Hänsel directing. i&u Studios has produced notable shows such as Small vs Tall and the Grimme Prize-winning Teddy Teclebrhan Show. Leonine Studios is part of France’s Mediawan, which recently acquired The North Road Company, known for producing Love Is Blind.
