Billy Ray Cyrus Shares His Joy for Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando’s Engagement

Miley Cyrus is officially engaged, and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, expressed his joy at the news. The country music icon shared his excitement about gaining a new son-in-law in an Instagram post on December 3.
In the post, Billy Ray Cyrus included two pictures of Miley and her fiancé, Maxx Morando. The first image captures the couple at a restaurant, with Miley proudly showcasing her engagement ring—a gold band adorned with a sparkling diamond on her left hand.
“So happy you and MaxxAgazillion found each other!!!!” Billy Ray wrote, adding, “Congratulations! Happy to see you both so happy!!!”
Billy Ray also shared a nostalgic photo of himself, Miley, and her godmother, Dolly Parton. He commented on the picture, “No wonder you turned out so special … You have the greatest Godmother in the world!!! @dollyparton,” signing off with “love Dad.”
This congratulatory message came shortly after it was reported that Miley and Morando plan to marry after four years of dating. In an interview with Billboard, Miley confirmed the engagement and mentioned that she is in no rush to set a wedding date.
“Now with the holidays coming up, I’ll have a little bit more time to think about it,” she stated. “My instinct is always to enjoy every moment for as long as you possibly can.”
Miley previously married Liam Hemsworth, with whom she separated in 2018 and finalized her divorce in 2020. Meanwhile, Billy Ray Cyrus recently went through a split from Miley’s mother, Tish Cyrus, after 28 years of marriage.
Like Miley, Billy Ray has also found love again. This past April, he went public with actress Elizabeth Hurley, a reconnection that blossomed following his divorce from Firerose.
“Billy’s a very, very fabulous person,” Hurley told Entertainment Tonight in May. “He’s a very gentle man, very nice … We’re very happy.”
