Fuse Media, a prominent minority-owned media company, and Billboard, the leading authority in music, announced on March 31 the launch of Billboard Español TV. This new streaming network aims to celebrate music and culture in Spanish for U.S. Latino audiences and beyond.
Billboard Español TV will leverage Billboard‘s extensive music data, charts, and editorial insight to feature Spanish-language programming focused on world-renowned chart-topping artists. Set to launch in the second quarter of 2026, the channel seeks to reach homes prioritizing Spanish-language content and music.
The network will highlight emerging Latin American talent alongside iconic superstars, presenting artist stories and exclusive content that resonate with the Latino community in the U.S., one of the fastest-growing audiences in the country. Named after Billboard‘s Spanish-language website launched four years ago, Billboard Español TV builds on a foundation of credibility, becoming the most-visited music website in Spanish globally.
Industry research indicates that 25% of U.S. music listeners aged 13 and older engage with Spanish-language music, while Hispanics make up approximately 19% of the total population. This discrepancy highlights the genre’s significant reach across streaming platforms and music charts.
Viewing trends also reflect this momentum. A report from Nielsen reveals that Hispanic audiences spend about 55.8% of their total TV time streaming, exceeding the U.S. average and underscoring the engagement of this demographic.
Cultural mainstream acceptance of Spanish-language music is growing, exemplified by Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos winning album of the year at the 2026 Grammys, marking a historic first. His performance at the Super Bowl further demonstrated the genre’s widespread appeal to varied audiences.
“Billboard Español TV is more than a channel; it reflects how Latin music and Latino culture are integrated into American mainstream culture,” said Patrick Courtney, chief business officer at Fuse Media. “From pop to regional Mexican and urbano, this channel connects audiences to the stories behind the music while offering advertisers access to passionate, culturally engaged fans.”
Programming on Billboard Español TV will showcase Billboard‘s industry-leading charts and editorial expertise, featuring:
- Chart highlights, artist features, and insights into English and Spanish-language hits
- Music documentaries and artist profiles shaped by Billboard‘s data
- Original series covering genre trends and fan experiences
- Exclusive premieres and showcases celebrating Latin music across genres
- Live coverage of red carpets at major music events
“Giving Spanish-speaking music fans access to the artists they love in environments that feel native and meaningful is central to what Billboard Español TV represents,” stated Dana Droppo, chief brand officer at Billboard. “Our partnership with Fuse Media allows us to extend Billboard‘s authority into a FAST platform designed for discovery, engagement, and cultural impact.”
Billboard Español TV enhances Fuse Media’s expanding FAST portfolio, offering advertisers a premium environment with clearly defined audience segments and cultural relevance. The channel reinforces the significance of Spanish-language music and culture within the entertainment landscape while providing measurable engagement.
