Bill Gates Opens Up About His Past Mistakes in Marriage and Relationship with Epstein
Bill Gates Acknowledges Infidelity and Epstein Association in Town Hall
Bill Gates has publicly admitted to having affairs during his marriage to Melinda French Gates. This disclosure came during a town hall meeting for the Gates Foundation, where he also expressed regret about his association with Jeffrey Epstein, a former financier and convicted sex offender.
During the event, Gates addressed questions from staff regarding recent revelations from the Epstein files. He acknowledged that he had engaged in two extramarital relationships, including one with a "Russian bridge player" and another with a "Russian nuclear physicist." This statement marks the first time he has openly discussed these affairs.
In response to allegations resurfacing from documents released by the Department of Justice, which implicated him in inappropriate conduct, Gates maintained that he "did nothing illicit" and "saw nothing illicit." Despite prior denials from a spokesperson, who labeled the accusations as “absolutely absurd and completely false,” Gates took responsibility for his actions in a candid manner.
A spokesperson for Gates clarified that the meeting was a scheduled event, where he responded to various inquiries about the foundation’s work, as well as the implications of the Epstein files. The spokesperson noted that Gates spoke in detail and took accountability for his actions.
Gates detailed his interactions with Epstein, referring to them as a "huge mistake." He expressed remorse for the impact his choices may have had on others, stating, "I apologize to other people who are drawn into this because of the mistake that I made."
Bill and Melinda French Gates were married for over two decades before their divorce in 2021. Melinda has previously indicated that Gates’ connection to Epstein was a significant factor in their separation.
