Could Taylor Swift take on the role of Bebe Rexha’s manager?
Rexha, 36, engaged in a light-hearted discussion this weekend about her position as a pop star, when a fan suggested she consider Swift as a potential manager.
The conversation initiated after the “Meant to Be” singer shared a meme depicting the Grim Reaper about to unlock her door, referencing other pop stars like Tinashe and Tate McRae, who have found significant success. The term “Khia Asylum,” used in the meme, is internet slang referencing the challenges aspiring pop stars face.
“Guys, please help me. It’s so lonely in here,” Rexha wrote, adding a comical touch to the narrative.

The Grammy-nominated artist further entertained her followers by sharing a humorous voice memo titled “Khia asylum day 3051,” where she pretends to be trapped and contemplates her escape.
“I heard Sabrina got out. Zara and Charli left without looking back. And my flop ass is still in here,” Rexha quipped in the playful recording, humorously alluding to the challenges of her career.
Following these posts, Rexha responded to various comments from fans questioning her place in the music landscape. She revealed she is no longer signed to Warner Records and is now an independent artist.
Some fans offered career advice, including a suggestion for Swift to manage her. Rexha responded, “That’s actually genius.”
Both artists have shared exchanges in the past. In a 2019 interview, Rexha discussed her meeting with Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards, expressing her awe during the encounter.
“It was really nice. I was listening to her but was a little in shock. I was like, ‘Holy f—. Taylor Swift was telling me I’m awesome,'” Rexha recalled, noting the sincerity of the moment.
Rexha’s latest album, Bebe, was released in 2023, while her recent single, a collaboration with Netsky titled “Light That Leads Me,” debuted in 2025.
