Baywatch Welcomes Five New Faces to Its Recurring Cast, Featuring Ashley Moore and Luke Eisner
EXCLUSIVE: Fox Announces New Cast for Baywatch Reboot
Fox has secured five new recurring cast members for its upcoming Baywatch series, set to premiere in the 2026-2027 season. Joining the ensemble are Ashley Moore (I Know What You Did Last Summer), Kylar Miranda (On Swift Horses), Luke Eisner (Tall Girl), Nadia Gray (All Rise), and Charlie McElveen (Clipped).
The lead role will be played by Stephen Amell, with additional cast members including Jessica Belkin as Charlie Vale, Hassie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, and Brooks Nader as Selene, the witty captain of the Zuma Beach lifeguards. David Chokachi will also return in a recurring role as Cody Madison, now operating The Shoreline, the unofficial bar and grill from the original series.
Shay Mitchell is confirmed to play Trina, a former lawyer turned lifeguard, while Livvy Dunne joins the cast as Grace, an enthusiastic junior lifeguard.
In this reboot, Hobie Buchannon, portrayed by Amell, is now the captain of Baywatch, taking over from the legendary Mitch, originally played by David Hasselhoff. Hobie’s life takes a dramatic turn when Charlie, a daughter he never knew about, arrives, eager to join the family legacy as a lifeguard.
The new cast members will portray diverse characters: Moore will bring to life Jasmine, a rookie lifeguard with attitude; Miranda will play Diego, a skilled lifeguard from East LA; Eisner takes on the role of Koya, Luke’s best friend; Gray will portray Lisa, an EMT with strong ties to the lifeguard team; and McElveen portrays Ethan, a dismissive lawyer involved in a case with Trina.
Fox promises that the reboot will feature exciting rescues, intricate relationships, and the coastal heroics that characterized the original series, all while introducing a fresh cast to don the iconic red swimsuits and navigate contemporary challenges.
The reboot received a straight-to-series order for 12 episodes in September, following its development at Fox since winter 2024. Production is scheduled to begin this spring at Venice Beach and the Fox Studio Lot in Century City.
The new Baywatch is co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle, with Matt Nix, known for Burn Notice and The Gifted, serving as showrunner and executive producer alongside an accomplished team that includes McG, Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto, and Mike Horowitz. McG is set to direct the series premiere. Fox Entertainment Global will manage domestic distribution rights, while Fremantle will oversee international sales.
