Authorities Search for Additional Victims Connected to Santa Clarita Boys & Girls Club Staff Member
Investigation Launched Following Arrest of Boys & Girls Club Employee
SANTA CLARITA, CA — Elizabeth Elizarraraz, 32, was arrested last week for allegedly engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a teenager, prompting authorities to seek additional victims. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department released a photo of the suspect as part of their investigation.
Elizarraraz now faces six counts of lewd acts upon a child, as confirmed by the LA County District Attorney’s office. Investigators reported that she committed a "lewd and lascivious act" against a minor identified as "Nathalee P." during a period from October 1, 2024, to October 31, 2024.
The authorities were alerted to Elizarraraz’s actions after parents reported concerns regarding their child’s relationship with her. Initially, the sheriff’s department indicated that Nathalee P. was the only minor involved, but ongoing inquiries suggest there may be other victims due to the nature of the offenses. "Based on the nature of the offenses, coupled with the facts that Ms. Elizarraraz has had contact with numerous juveniles in the course of her employment, detectives believe there may be additional unidentified victims," the department stated.
In response to the allegations, the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita has suspended Elizarraraz from all facilities while the investigation continues. Matthew Nelson, CEO of the organization, reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining high ethical standards. "Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Clarita Valley does not tolerate inappropriate or illegal activity on the part of any staff member, volunteer, or youth member," Nelson emphasized, noting that all employees and volunteers must undergo a criminal background check.
Authorities urge anyone with additional information to come forward as part of this ongoing investigation.
