- Sellers previously released “Villain of the Week” in October.
Aubrie Sellers is diving into psychedelic rock with her latest track, “Delusional,” which premieres exclusively here. This new single features fellow country artist Ashley Monroe and is a fresh exploration of how dating can distort reality.
The song showcases ethereal vocals and looping guitars, creating a hazy, retro soundscape. In the chorus, Sellers sings, “Maybe I’m delusional, but I want you,” capturing the disorienting feelings that often accompany romance.

For Sellers, 34, “Delusional” marks her first collaboration with Monroe. “We sat in her writing office, ordered food, and talked about poetry and being idealistic in love,” Sellers recalled. The two drew inspiration from the dreamy sounds of The Moody Blues’ “Nights in White Satin” and the Dreamliners.
Monroe, 39, expressed her sense of freedom during the songwriting process. “We dove in and got all weird and goth and angelic, and I’m so proud of what we created,” she said, highlighting her admiration for Sellers’ voice. “Who says Delusional has to be a bad thing?”
The new track follows Sellers’ recent single “Villain of the Week,” a gritty garage-rock anthem that delves into the challenges of modern dating, released in October.
In December 2019, Sellers shared her experience performing in the Los Angeles production of Love Actually Live, which featured a talented cast and a 15-piece orchestra, reimagining the soundtrack of the beloved holiday film.
In her role as Sarah, Sellers underwent a hairstyle transformation that left a lasting impression on her. “I feel like a completely different person in that hair and her clothes, and people are shocked when they see me after the show,” she noted.
