Åsa Orbison, along with her husband, Roy Orbison Jr., and their four sons, are embracing the holiday season through music with their latest release.
Released on December 1, Orbison Family Christmas features nine tracks and showcases a blend of cherished holiday classics while introducing a modern Orbison sound.
Roy Orbison Jr., 55, described the album as the “soundtrack to our real life Christmas.” In a statement, he expressed disbelief at how well the collection reflects each family member’s personality, saying, “There are pieces of each member of the family in different songs. I am surprised how well we captured our different personalities.”

Åsa echoed her husband’s sentiment, sharing, “Creating this album with my family was such a beautiful experience; we managed to capture the true feeling of our Christmas — the joy, the closeness, and the magic we share.”

The album features contributions from all family members, including Roy Orbison III, who delivers a rendition of Chuck Berry’s “Run, Run Rudolph.” Roy Jr. expressed pride in this cover, stating, “It would make my dad Roy Orbison happy.”
Another standout track, “Pretty Paper,” pays homage to Roy Orbison Sr. The new version revives the song, originally a Christmas hit in 1963, featuring Åsa and Roy Jr.’s children singing backup. Roy Jr. remarked that this rendition “makes it a more positive tribute to the beautiful lyrics and story of the song” that his father helped shape over six decades ago.

Other tracks include favorites such as “Snowman,” “I’d Like You for Christmas,” “Santa Baby,” “Warm in December,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “O Christmas Tree,” and “Christmas Time Is Here.” The Orbison family aims to share their festive spirit through these timeless melodies.
“Christmas has always been our favorite time of year—a season that fills our home with love, laughter, and the warmth of being together,” Åsa reflected. “I know I’ll cherish these moments forever, and I hope the world can feel a little of our Christmas spirit through it, too.”
Orbison Family Christmas is currently available on all major streaming platforms.
