Ariana Grande Shares Thoughts on Taking a Break for Her Well-Being

Ariana Grande, known for her dynamic career spanning over a decade, from album releases to extensive tours, is now immersed in the production of the Wicked films, a project she has been engaged with since 2021. Given her relentless schedule, many might wonder if she is considering a break.
In a recent cover story with Vogue Japan published on January 26, Grande expressed, “I think that it would probably be healthy to [take a break].” When asked whether she plans to take time away from her career, she admitted, “I’m not used to taking breaks… these past few years have been pretty nonstop. And by few, I mean 15.”
Looking ahead, Grande stated, “Balance is the goal for the next 15 years … I don’t think they will look like the previous 15 years. I think there will be more balance.”
The two-time Grammy winner has previously announced a shift in her music output, expressing she would no longer release albums at the same pace. Between 2013 and 2024, she released seven albums, with six reaching No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Grande also voiced uncertainty about her future live performances, particularly after her upcoming Eternal Sunshine Tour concludes in September.
“I do know that I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long time,” she remarked in November during her appearance on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast. “So I’m going to give it my all. I think that’s why I’m doing it, because I’m like, ‘One last hurrah. For now.’”
As for new music, Grande humorously remarked, “You’ll have to clone me!” during her interview with Vogue Japan.
Despite contemplating a break from music, Grande remains committed to her acting career. She recently completed filming for an upcoming Meet the Parents movie, and next year she will join Wicked costar Jonathan Bailey in a West End revival of Saturday in the Park With George.
