Andy Cohen’s AI Avatar Will Help Peacock Viewers Explore Their Personalized Bravoverse
NBCUniversal is expanding its foray into artificial intelligence with the upcoming launch of a virtual feature called "Your Bravoverse," hosted by Andy Cohen. This new initiative aims to enhance viewer engagement with Bravo content directly through the Peacock app.
This development follows NBCUniversal’s earlier attempt to bring AI to viewers by simulating sportscaster Al Michaels for highlights from the 2024 Paris Olympics. As competition in the streaming industry intensifies, platforms are under pressure to attract and retain subscribers. Recent data revealed that in January 2026, Peacock accounted for just 1.8% of U.S. television viewership, placing it ninth among free and subscription services.
"Your Bravoverse," set to debut this summer, seeks to provide Bravo fans with innovative ways to interact with popular franchises like Real Housewives. The feature combines human curation and AI tools to link scenes based on user preferences, offering a customizable playlist of connected storylines and behind-the-scenes content. Cohen’s digital avatar will guide viewers by providing short introductions to the footage.
Cohen, known for his show Watch What Happens Live, actively participated in the AI initiative. His digital presence will be clearly marked as AI-generated, an essential consideration amid ongoing negotiations between Hollywood unions and studios, including NBCUniversal. Concerns surrounding AI contributed to the disruptions seen during recent labor strikes.
A press preview held at NBCUniversal’s headquarters in New York featured remarks from key figures including Matt Strauss, chairman of NBCUniversal’s media group, and Frances Berwick, chairman of Bravo and Peacock Unscripted. While Cohen’s avatar was not present, he made his sentiments clear in the official press release, stating, "Your Bravoverse will take chatter among fans to the next level by bringing AI into the mix and creating an experience that’s intuitive, interactive, and built entirely around the Bravo fandom."
Strauss described "Your Bravoverse" as a groundbreaking feature, blending NBCUniversal’s extensive Bravo library with advanced AI to facilitate personalized viewing experiences. He highlighted Peacock’s commitment to innovation with the introduction of vertical videos across genres and in-app gaming.
Berwick emphasized Bravo’s unique relationship with its audience, noting that fans are not just passive viewers; they engage in discussions, share content, and cultivate loyalty, creating a vibrant community around the network.
In addition to the Bravo initiative, Peacock will also launch live vertical videos for NBA broadcasts and introduce casual games related to Jeopardy! and Law & Order.
