Amy Madigan Cast in Netflix Series ‘All The Sinners Bleed’
Amy Madigan, known for her recent work in *Weapons*, will guest star as Scarlett Cunningham in the upcoming limited series *All The Sinners Bleed*. This adaptation of S.A. Cosby’s novel is being produced by Netflix in collaboration with the Obamas’ Higher Ground and Amblin Television, currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia.
Showrunner and executive producer Joe Robert Cole, acclaimed for projects like *Black Panther* and *All Day and a Night*, leads the series. *All The Sinners Bleed* centers on Titus Crown, played by Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, the first Black sheriff in a small county steeped in Bible Belt traditions. Haunted by the tragic loss of his devout mother, Crown is compelled to track down a serial killer targeting his Black community under the guise of divine justification.
The main cast also features John Douglas Thompson, Nicole Beharie, Daniel Ezra, Andrea Cortés, Murray Bartlett, and Leila George. Additionally, Giancarlo Esposito, David Lyons, Donald Elise Watkins, Mackenzie Astin, Jordan M. Cox, Cullen Moss, Angus O’Brien, Cranston Johnson, Christopher Matthew Cook, Christopher Thornton, and Bill Oberst Jr. will appear in recurring roles.
Cole not only serves as the writer and showrunner but will also direct several episodes. Alongside him, Higher Ground Productions, Amblin Television, and Cosby will provide executive production support.
Madigan is currently receiving acclaim for her performance as Aunt Gladys in Zach Cregger’s *Weapons*, having just been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress—a category in which she was previously nominated for the 1985 film *Twice in a Lifetime*. Her extensive film portfolio includes notable titles such as *Field of Dreams*, *Uncle Buck*, and *Gone Baby Gone*.
In addition to her cinematic achievements, Madigan has an impressive television resume featuring roles in HBO’s *Carnivàle*, ABC’s *Grey’s Anatomy*, NBC’s *ER*, Fox’s *Fringe*, and *Penny Dreadful: City of Angels*.
