Amanda Bynes Shows Off New "Trap Star" Tattoo
Amanda Bynes is embracing self-expression with a new tattoo. The 39-year-old actress revealed her bold "Trap Star" tattoo, inked in striking blackletter font, via her Instagram Stories on January 22.
In a photo taken from her car, Bynes also showcased her outfit, which featured a black oversized windbreaker, leggings, and white sneakers. She continued to sport her heart face tattoo from 2019 and complemented her look with bright blue lipstick.
The new tattoo is nestled between her "Beauty" tattoo on her forearm and a heart on her middle finger. It was created by Atomic Tattoo LA, a Los Angeles-based studio known for its clean linework. Bynes adorned her hand with a sparkling pink acrylic set and a gold watch.

The actress also has a bright red rose tattoo on her forearm, previously shared in a clip where the artist outlined the design.
Just last month, Bynes provided a life update, revealing she lost nearly 30 pounds with the help of Ozempic, a medication primarily used for type 2 diabetes that has gained popularity for its weight loss effects. "I usually don’t like paparazzi pictures because I was 180lbs but now I’ve lost 28lbs on ozempic!" she shared alongside a photo featuring her in ripped jeans and a Lady Gaga T-shirt. "I’m down to 152lbs. I know I still look big but this photo is really inspiring to me!”
In March 2024, Bynes candidly discussed her struggles with mental health, stating, “I’ve gained over 20lbs in the past few months from being depressed. I’m doing a lot better now and have learned to do opposite action when I don’t feel like working out or eating clean.”
Her commitment to her fitness journey was evident when she shared her Apple Fitness summary from November, showing she exceeded her daily move goal by over 150 calories and walked nearly 15,000 steps.
Bynes’ lawyer confirmed in 2020 that she was seeking professional care for ongoing mental health issues, highlighting her journey to recovery. Recently, she has been experimenting with her personal style, adding an exciting chapter to her post-Nickelodeon career.
The actress, who transitioned from acting to pursue her education, graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 2019 and has plans to obtain her manicurist license in 2024, following a brief podcast launch in late 2023.
