Amanda Arcuri and Ian Quinlan Join Sheriff Country as Series Regulars for Season 2
CBS Series "Sheriff Country" Welcomes New Series Regulars for Second Season
When the CBS series Sheriff Country returns for its second season, recurring stars Amanda Arcuri and Ian Quinlan will take on roles as series regulars.
The show centers around Sheriff Mickey Fox, played by Morena Baccarin, who navigates her duties in the small town of Edgewater while dealing with personal challenges. As the stepsister of Cal Fire’s division chief Sharon Leone, portrayed by Diane Farr, Mickey investigates local criminal activity, all while confronting her ex-con father, Wes, an off-the-grid marijuana grower, and a troubling incident involving her estranged daughter.
Since its debut, Arcuri has portrayed Skye, the daughter of Sheriff Mickey Fox and her former husband, Travis Fraley. Skye’s character evolves from a young woman shrouded in suspicion regarding her boyfriend’s murder to gaining strength as she joins her Aunt Miranda in the family business.
Quinlan plays Hank, a brash and impulsive deputy known for his humor and friendly rivalry with fellow Deputy Cassidy Campbell. As Cassidy delves into the mysterious disappearance of local young women, allegedly linked to a serial killer, Hank proves to be a loyal and adept teammate.
Sheriff Country also features Matt Lauria in a series regular role. Both Sheriff Country and its parent series, Fire Country, have bolstered CBS’s Friday night programming, leading their time slots in total viewers according to Nielsen data. Notably, Sheriff Country has seen a 52% increase in viewership since taking over the time slot from SWAT, marking it as the second most-watched new series on broadcast television this season, behind CBS’s Marshals. The series has consistently tracked audience growth for six weeks following its premiere, positioning it among the most popular shows of the current TV season.
The series is executive produced by Max Thieriot, Joan Rater, Tony Phelan, Matt Lopez, and Jerry Bruckheimer, along with KristieAnne Reed for Jerry Bruckheimer Television.
