Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner, both alumni of American Idol, are proud parents of three children. The couple first met during the show’s 2018 season and married the following year in a private ceremony in Texas. Shortly before their first anniversary, they announced they were expecting their first child.

"We are very excited," Barrett shared in 2020, expressing her joy about becoming a parent. "The Lord has blessed us with a little one, and we’re excited to finally be able to share the news with everybody."

Their first child, daughter Baylah May, was born in January 2021. She was later joined by brother Augustine Boone in October 2022 and sister Ivy Josephine in February 2024.

"It’s a whole new world, honestly. It’s true what they say — when you have kids, everything changes," Barrett commented in 2021.

As a Billboard Music Award winner, Barrett balances her family responsibilities with her career, often bringing her children on tour. “I’m trying my best to really prioritize music and family,” she noted, emphasizing that she feels they are currently achieving a good balance.

Barrett and Foehner became first-time parents on January 18, 2021, with the birth of Baylah May.

"Gotten to spend a very sweet week with our newest addition.. meet our girl," Barrett wrote on Instagram shortly after Baylah’s arrival.

In a conversation on The Bobby Bones Show, Barrett shared the inspiration behind Baylah’s name. "Cade’s sister’s name is Bailey Blane. I wanted something more original, so I played with it and came up with Baylah," she explained. "We chose May because my sister was born in that month."

Shortly after Baylah’s birth, she accompanied her parents on Thomas Rhett’s 2021 tour. Barrett expressed excitement for Baylah to experience life on stage with them. “I can’t wait for her to watch us and eventually be aware of what we do,” Barrett said.

In 2024, Barrett released “Growin’ Up Raising You,” a song inspired by her daughter. “I’ve learned so much over the past few years watching my babies grow & I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she posted on Instagram.

When not performing, Baylah is frequently featured on her parents’ social media, showcasing various family activities. Barrett previously stated, "Now everything’s transformed from me doing it for myself, to me doing it for her now."

Augustine Boone, 3

The couple welcomed their son, Augustine Boone, on October 27, 2022.

"Enjoying the newborn days with baby brother. What a precious gift from our Lord!" Barrett shared alongside the first picture of Augustine, which also featured Baylah.

Barrett later explained on The Bobby Bones Show that they affectionately use Augustine’s middle name instead of his first.

In her music video for “Glory Days,” filmed when Augustine was just eight months old, he can be seen engaging with family activities, showcasing the joy they experience together. Barrett described the video as a reflection of her life, stating, “Seeing my sweet family in this video just melts my heart.”

Ivy Josephine, 1

Most recently, Barrett and Foehner welcomed Ivy Josephine on February 17, 2024.

“Our third baby arrived earth side early this morning, at home. Another life to love and cherish,” Barrett announced on Instagram, praising God for His kindness.

Following Augustine’s birth, Barrett revealed that they were expecting Ivy, eager for her daughter Baylah to have a sister. "My first was a girl, second was a boy, so I’m thrilled to have another girl," she stated in 2023.

Barrett added that Baylah was already aware and excited about the new arrival. "She understands there’s a baby in mom’s belly and is very excited for her sister," Barrett said.
