Age of Attraction Connects with Netflix Audiences
A new dating show exploring age-gap relationships has captivated Netflix subscribers.
Titled Age of Attraction, the series debuted last week and quickly climbed to number six on Netflix’s global top ten list.
In its first five days since launching on March 11, Age of Attraction garnered 3.8 million views. It marked the first new reality show on Netflix to break into the top ten in some time, outperforming the popular game show Million Dollar Secret, which received 3.7 million views in its opening week.
The quiz competition Million Dollar Secret, hosted by Peter Serafinowicz, was quickly renewed for a second season. Should Age of Attraction maintain its viewer engagement, it may also find itself in the renewal discussion.
The new show fell just short of Perfect Match, another successful Netflix dating format that aired its third season last year. Using the previous hours-viewed metric, Perfect Match achieved 24.6 million views in its first week after launching in 2023, while Age of Attraction recorded 19.1 million hours viewed.

Age of Attraction poses the question: is love ageless? Hosted by 45-year-old Nick Viall and his 27-year-old wife, Natalie Joy, the series is notable for being one of the few dating productions created by women—Jennifer O’Connell and Rebecca Quinn—of Velvet Hammer Media.
The show premiered with five episodes, with an additional three episodes released on March 18, and the season finale airing on March 25.
Netflix appears to be riding a wave of romantic content success, as the latest installment of Love Is Blind: The Reunion also attracted 8.9 million views this week.
In other viewership highlights, the second season of One Piece debuted with 16.8 million views, securing its place at the top of the English-language TV charts. This figure reflects a slight decrease compared to the first season’s launch, which earned 18.5 million views in its opening week. However, the first season also returned to the Netflix charts with 3.6 million views this week, landing just behind Age of Attraction at seventh position.
On the film side, War Machine delivered significant success, achieving 44.4 million views in its second week, while Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere attracted 6.3 million views in its debut week.
