Telemundo has appointed Adrian Santucho as its new Senior Vice President of Unscripted Content.
The Spanish-language broadcaster, owned by NBCUniversal, announced that Santucho will report to Javier Pons, Chief Content Officer and Head of Telemundo Studios. In his new role, he will oversee the development and production of unscripted content, encompassing reality shows, game shows, and music specials across both linear and streaming platforms.
Santucho joins Telemundo from the Miami-based production company 360-POWOW, where he served as CEO and Chief Creative Officer. Previously, he was Executive Vice President at Univision Studios, where he managed current programming and unscripted productions, including reality shows like La Banda, Mira Quién Baila, and Pequeños Gigantes US. His career began at Endemol Argentina, and he has also held the position of CEO at Fremantle U.S. Hispanic, Mexico, and Latin America.
“Adrian brings to Telemundo deep expertise in the production of unscripted content and specials,” said Pons. “A well-respected veteran in Spanish-language media, he has successfully managed large-scale international production companies providing content for broadcasters, cable channels, and streaming platforms across the entire region and the US. We welcome him to Telemundo and look forward to working with him to continue building on the success and strength of our unscripted content slate.”
“I have always had a deep passion for television and its unique ability to connect audiences. I’m excited to join Telemundo at such a dynamic moment for the company and the industry,” added Santucho. “Telemundo has built an incredible legacy of live, culturally relevant programming, and I look forward to collaborating with the team to continue evolving the unscripted slate across linear and streaming platforms.”
