Abandoned Dogs in Palmdale Find Hope and Healing
Sixteen Abandoned Dogs Receive Care at Palmdale Animal Care Center
Sixteen dogs are currently undergoing treatment at the Palmdale Animal Care Center after being discovered abandoned at Pelona Vista Park last week. The animals were found on March 31 in various stages of neglect.
Officials at the center reported that nearly all the dogs had matted fur, which was heavily soiled with dirt and feces. They were promptly taken for medical care upon their rescue.
“By giving them the grooming that they need, it’s going to improve their mobility and comfort level,” said Christopher Valles with the LA County Department of Animal Care and Control.
The dogs were found following a call reporting “multiple loose small dogs appear left abandoned in the park.”
As of now, the center has not provided information regarding when or if the dogs will be available for adoption. Authorities are encouraging anyone with information about the dogs to reach out to the Palmdale Animal Care Center for assistance.
