A Royal Family Member May Be Missing Christmas at Sandringham This Year
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has not received an invitation to the royal family’s annual Christmas gathering at Sandringham. Instead, the former prince is expected to spend the holidays at Royal Lodge in Windsor. This marks a continuation of his absence from family festivities, as he and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, were similarly uninvited to the 2024 celebrations.
As the preparations for the Christmas gathering unfold, sources indicate that Andrew’s ongoing fall from grace has resulted in his exclusion from this year’s event. According to Tatler, Andrew will forgo the holiday celebrations with his extended family.

A report from The Daily Mail suggests that Andrew will celebrate Christmas at Royal Lodge in Windsor. Despite previous speculation regarding his imminent eviction from the property, it now appears he will remain until early 2026.
Concerns about Andrew’s potential unannounced appearance at Sandringham have also been raised, with one source describing such a scenario as "suboptimal."

In 2022, Andrew and Ferguson were last seen celebrating the holidays at Sandringham, shortly after King Charles ascended the throne. While they received invitations in 2024, royal insiders noted that King Charles emphasized the importance of family unity during the Christmas season.
Despite this, the dynamic has shifted, with Kate Middleton and Prince William reportedly banning Andrew from participating in Middleton’s annual "Together at Christmas" carol service, emphasizing that there was "no space for Uncle Andy," as royal columnist Ephraim Hardcastle remarked.

Relations between Andrew and the royal family appear strained, especially following the king’s last-minute gesture in 2024, which had initially been seen as a "peace offering." Now, it seems the rift is beyond repair.
