Brandon Clarke’s Fiancée Shares Heartfelt Memories of Her Late Grizzlies Star Love: Feeling Deeply Loved
Amber Lorraine, the fiancée of late Memphis Grizzlies star Brandon Clarke, has publicly expressed her grief nearly a week after his sudden passing at the age of 29. In an emotional Instagram post on May 17, Lorraine conveyed the profound impact Clarke had on her life.
“There are no words to describe this feeling,” she stated in her post, which has been made private since its publication. “I never thought I’d have to live life without you. I’m not really sure how to do this without you by my side.” Lorraine described Clarke as the most special person in her life, highlighting his immense heart and the love he offered to those around him.
Clarke’s body was discovered on May 11 at a residence in Los Angeles. While the official cause of death remains undetermined, authorities are investigating the incident as a potential drug overdose.
In her message, Lorraine reflected on Clarke’s many talents, writing, “You were always so impressive to me; everything you were passionate about, you were elite at.” She praised him for being a natural talent in various pursuits, including gaming, writing, and music, while emphasizing his generosity and the care he showed to those he loved.
Though the couple rarely spoke publicly about their relationship, Lorraine noted their engagement and future plans to marry soon. She expressed a desire for a family and a shared life filled with pets and gardening.
“I miss your silly jokes and childlike wonder,” she reminiscenced. “I miss your laugh and the way you made me laugh. I miss your big arms wrapped around me.” Lorraine concluded with a heartfelt message, stating, “You were everything to me and more. The day you proposed was the happiest day of my life … I love you always Brandon, forever and always.”
Clarke was a seven-year veteran of the NBA, having spent his entire professional career with the Grizzlies. His performance during the 2025-26 season was limited due to ongoing injuries, where he participated in only two games. The team released a statement mourning his loss, stating, “We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of Brandon Clarke,” and acknowledged the positive impact he made within the organization and the Memphis community.
Before his death, Clarke faced legal challenges, including an arrest on April 1 for charges related to possession and trafficking of a controlled substance. He was scheduled for an arraignment on May 15 in Arkansas.
