Maggie Sajak expressed her pride and support for boyfriend Jackson Olson following the announcement of his casting in the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars. Sajak took to Instagram on May 12 to share her excitement, posting, “SO PROUD @jacksonolson_ !!!” alongside his casting news.
In another post, Sajak shared a heartfelt image of the couple enjoying a fireworks display together. She remarked, “Beyond proud of you @jacksonolson_ …the dance floor better get ready.”
Olson, 28, who is known for his role as a player for the Savannah Bananas and his popularity on social media, was revealed as a cast member for the show’s 35th season during Disney’s Upfront presentation on Tuesday. The official Dancing With the Stars Instagram account shared a playful post stating, “This banana is hitting the ballroom! 🍌🕺” and encouraged fans to tune in this fall on ABC, Disney+, and Hulu.
Other cast members announced include Love Island star Maura Higgins and Summer House participant Ciara Miller.
During an appearance on Good Morning America on May 13, Olson spoke about his journey to this moment, stating he had “manifested” his spot on the show. He shared, “When I was a kid, I never thought any of this was possible… But when I posted it, I’m like, ‘Maybe there is a possibility.’”
Olson’s excitement comes shortly after Sajak, the daughter of former Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak, publicly confirmed their relationship with a sweet photo at Disneyland.
He also recently reflected on their long-distance relationship, describing it as "really cool" despite the challenges posed by their opposite coasts. "You only get one chance at a start of a relationship," he noted, emphasizing the importance of making time for each other during their busy lives.
