Fifth Season Teams Up with Indie TV Drama ‘Recap’ Featuring Corey Stoll and Julia Stiles
Fifth Season Introduces New Indie Series ‘Recap’ at LA Screenings
Fifth Season is set to showcase its latest indie television series, Recap, during the LA Screenings. The psychological mystery thriller features performances by Corey Stoll and Julia Stiles.
Recap, created by Adam Glass, Andrew Dabb, and Justin S. Lee, presents a high-concept storyline that has captured attention. Glass and Dabb serve as the showrunners, bringing their expertise from previous successful projects.
The plot centers around Morley, portrayed by Stoll, who awakens each day with no recollection of the previous day—relying solely on a video recap to understand his identity. Living in isolation on a remote farm, Morley adheres to strict survival rules. However, a chilling encounter compels him to reevaluate his knowledge of survival, family, and self.
Richard Shepard directs all episodes and also serves as an executive producer alongside Steward and Alex Foster. The main cast includes JD Pardo, Laya DeLeon Hayes, and Cole Tristan Murphy, with guest appearances from Jane Levy and Donal Logue.
The series will be part of Fifth Season’s slate at the LA Screenings, which also features ITV’s crime thriller The Blame, a reimagining of Treasure Island by Playground Entertainment, the Killing Eve spin-off Honey, and The Night Manager Hong Kong, a Chinese adaptation of the original espionage thriller.
Kate Laffey, Senior Vice President of Acquisitions at Fifth Season, expressed enthusiasm for the project: “From the acclaimed team at K Period and heralded by the seasoned executive producers of Supernatural and Criminal Minds, Recap is an elevated psychological thriller that we are delighted to present at LA Screenings this year. The series combines an intriguing premise with suspense-driven storytelling and mystery-box appeal, anchored by standout performances from Corey Stoll and Julia Stiles.”
Kimberly Steward, founder of K Period, commented on the series’ mission: “K Period Media is committed to reimagining how independent television gets made—pairing creative freedom for showrunners with new models for bringing ambitious stories to audiences, and Recap embodies that mission. We’re incredibly excited to be working with Fifth Season on this series and thrilled to share the extraordinary work of our cast and creators with the world.”
