Vendôme Group Promotes Éric Jehelmann and Jonathan Blumental as Oscar-Winning Production Team Reshapes Leadership
EXCLUSIVE: Vendôme Group, the renowned production company behind Oscar-winning films such as CODA and La Famille Bélier, has announced several key promotions as part of a management restructuring. The company, led by Philippe Rousselet and Fabrice Gianfermi, operates out of Paris and Los Angeles.
In this executive reshuffle, seasoned French film producers Éric Jehelmann and Jonathan Blumental have been appointed as Co-Chief Creative Officers for Vendôme Group’s French divisions, effective immediately.
Ninon Desplat, who has been managing production and development at Vendôme Films since 2022, has been promoted to Producer and Head of Productions and Development for both Film and Television.
Rousselet and Gianfermi will maintain oversight of the entire group while directing their focus towards international projects under the newly established company, Emotion Pictures.

Jehelmann and Blumental, based in Vendôme Group’s Paris office, will be responsible for the development and production of all French-speaking projects within the organization. They will also continue their current roles leading Vendôme’s French-language production companies, Jerico Films and Prélude Films.
Jerico Films is known for the French success La Famille Belier, which was remade by Vendôme’s Los Angeles arm into the Oscar-winning film CODA. The company has also produced Romain Gary’s adaptation Promise at Dawn, featuring Pierre Niney.
Prélude Films has credits that include Michel Hazanavicius’ The Lost Prince and the recent Prime Video series Ourika. Jehelmann will also oversee Jerico TV alongside Anne Voirin.
In her expanded role, Ninon Desplat will carry on with her responsibilities at Vendôme Films, focusing on French-language productions. The newly launched Magma Productions label will continue to be led by Mallory Vabre and Anne-Charlotte Homasson.
Additionally, it was announced last week that Emotion Pictures—a collaboration between Vendôme Pictures, Pathé, and Merit France—will specialize in English-language commercial films. Currently, the company is producing Ibelin, directed by Morten Tyldum and featuring a cast that includes Charlie Plummer, Stephen Graham, Toni Collette, Isabela Merced, Maisy Stella, and Bill Nighy. Emotion Pictures also has ten other projects in various stages of development.
Kathryn Thal will retain her position as Senior Vice President of Development and Production across both Vendôme Pictures and Emotion Pictures, working alongside Ejiah Rousselet, who recently joined the team as a creative executive.
