Angels President Shares Regret Over Not Learning Sooner About Tyler Skaggs’ Struggles with Addiction
Angels President John Carpino testified on Friday that he regretted not being informed earlier about Tyler Skaggs’ drug use and Eric Kay’s involvement in supplying the fentanyl pill that led to Skaggs’ death.
The case, which has been ongoing since October, centers on a wrongful death lawsuit filed by Skaggs’ family. The family alleges that the team was aware of Kay’s distribution of opioids to players, including Skaggs.
As the trial approaches its conclusion, closing arguments are set for Monday. The proceedings have featured significant testimonies from notable figures, including Mike Trout and Skaggs’ widow, underscoring the case’s high stakes.
