Melania Trump Dazzles at State Dinner with King Charles III and Queen Camilla
Melania Trump made a stunning appearance at Tuesday night’s state dinner honoring King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Dressed in a pale pink silk strapless gown by Christian Dior Haute Couture, the First Lady complemented her ensemble with off-white suede gloves and silk pumps.
Walking alongside her husband, former President Donald Trump, who wore a classic black tuxedo, Melania greeted the royal couple with a warm smile. The evening was filled with camaraderie as the Trumps welcomed the visiting royals.
Earlier on the same day, Melania opted for a sophisticated look, sporting a white peplum skirt suit by Ralph Lauren paired with a straw boater hat designed by Eric Javits and white Manolo Blahnik pumps. The visit commenced with a handshake between Melania, Donald Trump, and the royals upon their arrival at the White House.
King Charles and Queen Camilla’s visit marks their first since his ascension to the throne following the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September 2022. They will remain in the United States until Thursday.
Chef Darren McGrady, former personal chef to Queen Elizabeth and various U.S. presidents, hinted at an impressive menu planned for the dinner, promising “the best of America” will be served. The meal is expected to focus on seasonal produce, with items such as asparagus and peas likely to impress King Charles, known for his appreciation of local food.
“Guests can expect a menu that is elegant yet not overly complicated,” noted royal commentator Amanda Matta. She emphasized the importance of ensuring that dishes complement the dining experience, avoiding overly messy or experimental options.
On Monday, upon welcoming Charles and Camilla, Melania was seen warmly greeting Queen Camilla with a kiss on the cheek. As she captured attention with her fashion choices, she also reflected a diplomatic presence alongside her husband.
King Charles and Queen Camilla’s visit is underscored by the nuances of royal protocol and the significance of their engagements while in the U.S.
