The End of an Era has officially launched, providing fans with a behind-the-scenes perspective of Taylor Swift’s journey through her record-breaking Eras Tour, which concluded in December 2024.

In the documentary’s trailer, Swift reflected, “This show created a bonding experience for, like, 70,000 people all at once. There’s something very special about that.” She further expressed the significance of the tour, stating, “This was a seismic, momentous period of time in my life and in the lives of anyone who this tour touched. This was the biggest challenge any of us have ever done.”

When Does Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Docuseries Premiere?

The first two episodes of The End of an Era premiered on December 12. The series debuted concurrently with Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour – The Final Show, a concert film documenting the final night of The Eras Tour, which took place on December 8, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada.

This live recording features Swift performing songs from her album The Tortured Poets Department, which were not included in the initial concert film.

How Many Episodes Are in Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Docuseries?

The docuseries consists of six episodes. Reflecting on her Eras Tour experience, Swift remarked in a December 10 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, “I didn’t realize it was gonna be this until you started hearing about people’s experiences at the show. My whole life I’ve been trying to study how to not just entertain people, but really transport them out of their problems.”

She noted instances of fans experiencing “post-concert amnesia,” leading her to conclude, “Oh man, I think this one is different.”

What Is the Episode Release Schedule?

The initial two episodes of The End of an Era premiered on December 12, with new episodes set to be released weekly until December 26. The release schedule is as follows:

• December 12: Episodes 1 & 2
• December 19: Episodes 3 & 4
• December 26: Episodes 5 & 6

What Time Will New Episodes Be Available?

New episodes of The End of an Era will be available at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Fridays. The docuseries not only follows Swift on tour but also features appearances by guest stars and friends associated with the Eras Tour.

According to a press release, the series includes conversations with Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, and Florence Welch, in addition to showcasing Swift’s band, dancers, crew, and family members, providing a unique insight into the making of this cultural phenomenon.

The docuseries is directed by Don Argott and co-directed by Sheena M. Joyce.
