Neon Green Corvette in a Police Chase on the 91 Freeway in Los Angeles County
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. – A police chase ended in chaos as a suspect driving a neon green Corvette convertible left a trail of destruction, sideswiping several vehicles and ultimately crashing into a tree near Torrance on Thursday, April 16.
SkyFOX captured the dramatic pursuit, which at one point saw the driver stop at a Chevron gas station located at the intersection of Sepulveda Boulevard and Del Amo Circle East. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, the suspect feigned filling up the car before fleeing the scene, eluding police for just a minute longer before colliding with other vehicles and the tree.
The chase spanned several cities, including Compton, Downey, Long Beach, and Norwalk, culminating in the crash near Torrance. Prior to the arrival of SkyFOX, authorities reported that the pursuit originated from Santa Ana in Orange County.
Authorities have not disclosed the specific reasons for the suspect’s initial stop, stating only that it involved speeding.
