- Journey plans to embark on a farewell tour in 2026.
The season 28 finale of The Voice promises to be a celebration of new music and cherished memories.
Neal Schon and Journey are set to perform during the season finale of The Voice on December 16. Sofronio Vasquez, who claimed victory in season 26, will also take the stage for a special performance.
As the band’s founding guitarist, Schon will lead Journey in a medley featuring iconic hits such as “Lights,” “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’” and “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
Journey’s performance will be complemented by the show’s coaches—Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, and Reba McEntire—alongside fan-favorite artists from the current season. Viewers can also anticipate an impressive guitar solo from Schon.
Vasquez will debut his new song “Superman,” co-written with Bublé and other collaborators, on the same day.
Since winning season 26, Vasquez has toured extensively and recently released two holiday duets with Bublé and David Foster.
Journey’s appearance coincides with their recently announced Final Frontier Tour, set to traverse North America in 2026. In a statement, Schon described the tour as a “heartfelt goodbye to the fans who’ve been with us.”
“We’re pulling out all the stops with a brand-new production — the hits, the deep cuts, the energy, the spectacle. It’s a full-circle celebration of the music that’s brought us all together,” he stated. “As its founding member, I carry the Journey torch to this day, wherever I go. The sentiment and spirit of the band will always remain.”

Schon expressed that while this tour marks a farewell to a significant chapter, he is far from finished with music. “Music is still burning strong inside me, and there are new creative horizons ahead. This tour is both a thank you and the beginning of what’s next,” he stated.
The forthcoming tour will include founder Schon, keyboardist Jonathan Cain, lead vocalist Arnel Pineda, keyboardist Jason Derlatka, drummer Deen Castronovo, and bassist Todd Jensen.
As the season 28 finale approaches, each coach has selected one contestant to advance, with Aubrey Nicole, Aiden Ross, Jazz McKenzie, and Ralph Edwards moving forward. Two additional contestants will be revealed during the December 15 episode.
The finale of The Voice will air on December 16 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
