Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore were spotted enjoying a night out at Bruce Springsteen’s concert, reconnecting amid recent scrutiny surrounding their friendship. The outing, shared on Instagram, showcased the pair’s camaraderie during a “date night” on April 9.
The This Is Us star posted a video on Instagram Stories featuring herself alongside Duff and their husbands, Taylor Goldsmith and Matthew Koma. In the clip, the group is seen dancing in the stands as Springsteen performs his classic hit, “Born to Run.” The video highlights Duff, who is seen smiling and leaning affectionately against Koma.
“Mentally I’m still here,” Moore expressed in the caption, which Duff later reposted. “@springsteen date night!!!”
Springsteen performed at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on April 7 and 9, as part of his ongoing Land of Hope & Dreams Tour. This tour commenced with a politically charged performance in Minneapolis at the end of March, where Springsteen criticized ICE and former President Donald Trump, prompting a response from Trump on social media.
Moore and Duff’s friendship became a topic of discussion following Ashley Tisdale’s essay, “Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group,” published in January. The essay led fans to speculate about the identities of Tisdale’s mom group, which included both actresses. Duff acknowledged this in a February episode of Call Her Daddy, saying, “I don’t really think people had to connect very many dots, do you?”
Reflecting on the situation, Duff remarked, “It sucks to read something that’s not true, and it sucks on behalf of, like, six women and all of their lives. The timing felt not great, and I felt used.”
Tisdale maintains a friendship with Duff’s estranged sister, Haylie. In January, Haylie shared a playdate photo with Tisdale, leading to Duff’s later admission about the loneliness stemming from her strained relationship with her sister. In an interview with CBS Mornings, Duff revealed that her song “We Don’t Talk,” from her recent Billboard 200 No. 3 album, Luck … or Something, addresses her feelings regarding Haylie.
