Jennifer Lawrence Steps Out in This Summer’s Trendiest Sneakers
Jennifer Lawrence has embraced her artistic side, as evidenced by recent public appearances. The Oscar-winning actress, who is married to a gallerist and named her son Cy after influential painter Cy Twombly, was spotted in Manhattan showcasing her fashion sense.
Currently filming her first Martin Scorsese project, What Happens at Night, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Lawrence was seen wearing a hat from the artistic brand Shrits, which features Claude Monet’s Water Lilies. Complementing her look, she sported a Beatles “Strawberry Fields Forever” T-shirt from Junk Food ($58). The ensemble embodies bold primary colors, a trend currently gaining traction in high fashion, with brands such as Dior and Ralph Lauren showcasing similar palettes.
Add to that her coffee choice from a village café named after famed Italian filmmaker Fellini, and it’s clear that Lawrence’s aesthetic is driven by a keen taste.
The actress completed her look with a nearly sold-out pair of Adidas Tokyos. Initially perceived as a casual choice, these sneakers actually reflect a lively take on the current granny footwear trend.

Lawrence recently shared fashion advice on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast, stating, “Big goes with big: If you’re going to have a baggy and a tight [item of clothing], you cannot ever have tight on the bottom, baggy on the top or you look like a lamp. You can have baggy on the bottom and tight on the top, but you cannot do the other way around.” For her recent outing, Lawrence opted for a baggy-on-baggy silhouette, playing into the current trends against the return of skinny jeans.
Breaking away from the norm, Lawrence wore Adidas Tokyo Shoes instead of their more recognizable Sambas. These have a thinner sole and a sleeker fit, deliberately matching the red stripe to her red sweater. Demonstrating her love for bold colors, Lawrence’s choices continue to reflect an intentional and stylish approach to her wardrobe.
