Carson High School Resumes Normal Activities After Lockdown
Carson High School Temporarily Lockdown Lifted After Investigation
CARSON, Calif. – Carson High School was placed on lockdown Monday as authorities responded to an ongoing investigation, according to the sheriff’s department.
In a statement shared via social media, the department assured that all students were safe and accounted for. They indicated that the lockdown was a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of those on campus.
“Carson High School is currently on lockdown pending an ongoing investigation. All students are safe and accounted for. Out of an abundance of caution, we are working closely with our school and law enforcement partners to ensure the safety of everyone on campus,” the sheriff’s department tweeted.
The lockdown was lifted by 12:30 p.m. after investigators determined that the situation stemmed from a swatting call, which falsely reported a dangerous incident requiring police intervention.
