Wildfires in Moreno Valley and Acton Spur Evacuations for Thousands
Firefighters Combat Major Wildfires in Southern California
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. – Firefighters are currently engaged in intense efforts to control two rapidly spreading wildfires, the Springs Fire and the Crown Fire, affecting Riverside and Los Angeles counties.
The Springs Fire has expanded to approximately 1,000 acres with no containment reported. It ignited shortly after 11 a.m. in the 15000 block of Gilman Springs Road, prompting mandatory evacuation orders for residents in Moreno Valley. Evacuation orders have been issued for the following areas:

- RVC-0748
- RVC-0826
Additionally, evacuation warnings are in effect for:
- MOE-0504
- MOE-0505
- MOE-0640
- MOE-0639
Gilman Springs Road is closed from Alessandro Road to Bridge Street as a safety precaution.
Meanwhile, the Crown Fire in Los Angeles County is currently estimated at 250 acres, also with no containment. Reported a little before 12:30 p.m. near Soledad Canyon and N. Crown Valley roads in Acton, firefighters indicate that this blaze is advancing at a moderate pace and could grow to 300 acres.

Although efforts are underway, the precise cause of both wildfires remains under investigation. As these fires pose a significant threat, crews continue to battle against adverse conditions that include high winds and dry terrain.
