From NBCUniversal, Tubi acquired major films including Jurassic World, Pacific Rim Uprising, and The Invisible Man, along with the drama series La Brea. Sony’s contributions feature classics like 21 Jump Street, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, and The Karate Kid franchise, as well as series such as Outsiders and Counterpart.
Warner Bros. Discovery’s offerings include Catwoman, The Departed, and Godzilla, along with classic series Gilligan’s Island and Maverick.
Sam Harowitz, SVP of Content Acquisition and Partnerships at Tubi, emphasized, “We’re focused on building and evolving our studio partnerships to better serve fandoms with the movies and series they already love. Working closely with our world-class content partners allows us to deliver a diverse slate of high-performing titles that keep audiences engaged and coming back to Tubi.”
These agreements follow Tubi’s recent release of its inaugural study, titled ‘The Stream 2026: When Intention Becomes Attention,’ which investigates the impact of streaming entertainment on consumer behavior. The report indicates that deep content catalogs facilitate rediscovery, cross-generational viewing, and repeat engagement, with comedy (70%), action (64%), and crime shows/movies (63%) ranking as the top genres in Canada.
Since 2020, Tubi has reported a 30% year-over-year growth in monthly active users in Canada, bolstered by a long-term strategic partnership with Canadian content leader Bell Media.
