Connor Storrie Faces Some Fun Competition in Verizon’s New Slasher-Comedy Campaign
Connor Storrie Stars in Verizon’s New Short Film, "Look Behind You"
Actor Connor Storrie, known for his role in Heated Rivalry, features in a new short film directed by Nia DaCosta. The four-minute and thirty-second piece, titled “Look Behind You,” offers a humorous twist on traditional slasher film trailers.
In the film, Storrie portrays a character who finds himself both hunter and prey while alone in a cabin in the woods. The narrative unfolds as he prepares dinner, utilizing Verizon’s smart home security system to unlock the door. Dressed in fitted blue jeans and a snug white tank top, Storrie is startled by a series of electronic surprises, from blasting heavy metal music to the sudden activation of the house alarm.
Tension escalates when a text message alerts him, "I’m coming for you," just as he hears noises at the door. Armed with a kitchen knife, Storrie confronts the unseen menace, exclaiming, “I’m not messing around.”
As the short progresses, the focus shifts to a humorous revelation: Storrie has inadvertently been butt-dialing his phone, leading to the close-up of his backside. The screen displays a cheeky tagline: “The Best Butt. The Best Network. There’s No Escape.” Storrie concludes with a playful remark, stating, “Service so good, it’s scary.”
This clever antidote to horror movie tropes highlights Storrie’s comedic timing and the effectiveness of modern technology in an entertaining package.
