Romance Series ‘Bee My Love’ Lands TV Deals in the U.S. and Canada with Precious Metal Productions and Good Soldier Films
EXCLUSIVE: Precious Metal Productions, a newly launched Canadian film company, has partnered with Good Soldier Films to announce U.S. and Canadian television deals for their debut feature, Bee My Love.
Super Channel has secured the Canadian broadcast rights, while Nicely Entertainment will manage U.S. and international distribution.
The uplifting film is set to premiere in the U.S. on Great American Family on April 11, following a deal negotiated by Nicely Entertainment. Canadian audiences can look forward to its debut on Super Channel on May 15, facilitated by Defiant Empire Distribution, which will continue to handle the film’s Canadian distribution.
Bee My Love features Ann Pirvu, known for her role in Reign, alongside Robin Dunne from Ainsley McGregor Mysteries. The narrative centers on a private chef competing for a coveted position with a celebrity restaurateur, portrayed by Brigitte Kingsley from The Art of Christmas.
In her journey, the protagonist draws inspiration from her mother’s recipes, the sweetness of honey, and a struggling beekeeper (Dunne) who helps her realize that life’s true rewards, including love, are best when shared.
This film marks the first completed project for Precious Metal Productions, launched by former Vortex Media executive Christopher Giroux and actress-producer Ann Pirvu. The company aims to focus on both TV movies and theatrical feature films, extending its scope from original content creation to full-service production.
The supporting cast also includes Emily Alatalo (Crossroad Springs), Romaine Waite (Very Merry Mystery), Neil Whitely (When Hope Calls), and Jessica Tang (Five Nights At Freddy’s Help Wanted), with Giroux directing.
“We’re delighted to bring Bee My Love to Canadian audiences. With its heartfelt storytelling, charming performances, and uplifting tone, the film is a perfect addition to our spring lineup and reflects the kind of feel-good entertainment our viewers love,” said Kim Ball, EVP of Content & Communications at Super Channel.
The film is produced by Kingsley and Andrew Cymek of Good Soldier Films alongside Pirvu and Giroux, with Vanessa Shapiro, founder of Nicely Entertainment, serving as executive producer.
Shapiro remarked, “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Christopher, Ann, and Brigitte on this charming romance. Bee My Love is a heartwarming, feel-good film that’s perfect for spring, and we’re excited to bring it to audiences around the world.”
Kingsley and Cymek also lead Defiant Empire Corp, a distribution company with a history of successful collaborations with Hallmark, Lifetime, Netflix, UPTV, and Super Channel on projects such as Autumn Stables, From Friend to Fiancé, and A Novel Christmas.
“Christopher and Ann have crafted something truly special for their first film, and Andrew and I are proud to be part of the team. With Super Channel and Nicely Entertainment supporting the project, we’re in excellent company and look forward to sharing this heartwarming film with the world,” Kingsley added.
