The Madison: Taylor Sheridan’s Most Successful Series Launch to Date
Taylor Sheridan’s ‘The Madison’ Sets Streaming Record for Paramount
Paramount Network has announced that the premiere episode of Taylor Sheridan’s latest series, The Madison, garnered an impressive 8 million streaming views globally within its initial ten days. This marks the biggest series launch of Sheridan’s career.
The series debuted on March 14 with the release of three episodes and is noted for its strong appeal to female viewers aged 35 and older, setting a record for Sheridan in that demographic, according to Paramount’s announcement.
The Madison also ranked among Luminate’s Top 5 most-watched streaming series for the week of March 13 to 19. While it held the fifth position based on total minutes watched, it led all series in streaming views, a measurement that reflects the time spent viewing divided by the series’ total runtime.
Although The Madison achieved substantial viewer engagement, it does not surpass the season 2 premiere of Landman, which amassed 9.2 million streaming views in just two days. Paramount recently adjusted its audience metrics to focus on streaming views rather than total viewers, leaving a gap in comparable data across most of Sheridan’s previous series debuts.
Renewed for a second season already, The Madison is described as Sheridan’s most intimate project to date, exploring themes of grief and human connection set against the backdrops of Montana and Manhattan.
The cast includes notable figures such as Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, Matthew Fox, and Will Arnett. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions.
Executive producers include Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, and Keith Cox, with Voros directing all six episodes of the debut season.
