BTS Concert on Netflix Achieves 13.1 Million Views; ‘Peaky Blinders’ Movie Tops the Charts
BTS made a triumphant return on Saturday, performing live for the first time in four years in Seoul, South Korea. The event was streamed on Netflix, allowing fans worldwide to join the experience, resulting in more than 13.1 million views within just over a day.
This impressive figure secured the performance the top spot on Netflix’s non-English TV list for the week and made it the most viewed title across the platform.
For comparison, BTS’s viewership outpaced Alex Honnold’s live Taipei 101 climb, which garnered about half that audience in a similar timeframe. However, it fell short of the views generated by some of Netflix’s high-profile events, such as the fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson in 2024.
Netflix announced on Tuesday that BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG attracted 18.4 million global viewers in Live +1, according to internal data. The method Netflix uses to measure ‘viewers’ appears to differ from the ‘views’ metric commonly reported.
In other streaming news, One Piece Season 2 maintained its position at the top of the English TV list with 11.1 million views. Season 1 of the series also performed well, ranking fourth with 4.4 million views. Virgin River Season 7 secured second place with 7.7 million views.
On the film side, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man marked the return of Cillian Murphy’s character Tommy Shelby, achieving 25.3 million views, making it the most-watched title of the week and topping the English films list. War Machine followed in second place with 18 million views, while Louis Theroux: Inside the Manosphere rounded out the top three with 6.3 million views.
