The Arrival of ‘The Testaments’ in France – Series Mania
Hulu’s The Testaments Premieres in France
In an elegant ceremony in France on Saturday, Hulu unveiled the world premiere of The Testaments, a highly anticipated series that serves as a sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale. The event was marked by a striking purple carpet, replacing the iconic red of last weekend’s Oscars, and heralded the opening of this year’s Series Mania drama festival.
Co-stars Chase Infiniti, Ann Dowd, and Lucy Halliday were joined by series creator Bruce Miller and producer Warren Littlefield for the screening. The collaboration among cast and crew was evident as they celebrated the launch of the new chapter in this gripping narrative.

The series is set to premiere on Disney+ globally next month. It follows Agnes (Infiniti), the daughter of a high-ranking commander, who is enrolled in an elite preparatory school overseen by Aunt Lydia (Dowd). Halliday portrays Daisy, an outsider who joins the school in this coming-of-age story.
Based on Margaret Atwood’s acclaimed 2019 novel, The Testaments continues the narrative established in The Handmaid’s Tale, which was also adapted successfully for television. Elisabeth Moss, who starred in the original series, serves as an executive producer for this new installment, with MGM Television involved in production.
Series Mania has a notable history for showcasing prominent U.S. television series, including the complete season of Mad Men during its inaugural event in 2010. Recent premieres at the festival have featured Netflix’s Three Body Problem and HBO’s Succession.
