Outlander’s Final Season Premieres to Highest Viewership in Four Years
The eighth and final season of Starz’s Outlander premiered with nearly three million multi-platform viewers during its opening week, marking a four-year high for the series. Additional viewership numbers from various platforms are still pending.
Based on Diana Gabaldon’s acclaimed novels, Outlander continues to captivate audiences, with the third episode set to air on March 20 and new episodes releasing weekly on Fridays.
In this season, characters Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitríona Balfe) return to Fraser’s Ridge, only to discover that the war has caught up with them. As the Frasers confront the sacrifices required to protect their home and stay together, they must navigate both external threats and internal conflicts. Despite having escaped the war for America’s freedom, their fight for Fraser’s Ridge is just beginning.
