Kate Middleton Attends Nigerian State Banquet in Iconic Carrie Bradshaw Heels
During a state visit at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, Kate Middleton drew inspiration from iconic figures Carrie Bradshaw and the late Princess Diana while hosting Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the First Lady.
The Princess of Wales looked elegant in a green gown designed by Andrew Gn, featuring a high neckline, sheer balloon sleeves, and a banded waistline. She complemented her outfit with Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps, which were famously worn by Bradshaw in the iconic series “Sex and the City.”
Middleton also honored her late mother-in-law by donning Diana’s beloved Queen Lover’s Knot tiara, adorned with diamonds and pearls. To further pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, she wore sapphire fringe earrings once belonging to the late monarch.
The mother of three accessorized her look with a Jenny Packham purse and displayed her Royal Family Order of King Charles III. She also wore the GCVO Sash and Star, elegantly styling her hair in soft waves. Middleton radiated warmth and confidence as she walked alongside her husband, Prince William.
Prince William also matched the occasion, sporting a black tailcoat complemented by a white tie and his Most Noble Order.
The royal couple was joined by King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other dignitaries as they honored President Tinubu. This visit follows Middleton’s participation in St. Patrick’s Day celebrations just a day prior, where she presented traditional shamrocks to soldiers from the Irish Guards at a parade in Aldershot, England.
Middleton, having also celebrated St. Patrick’s Day, wore a bespoke Alexander McQueen emerald double-breasted coat to honor the occasion. She accessorized with a black leather belt, a sleeveless dress, and black gloves to keep warm.
