Neighbors is Coming Back for Season 2 on HBO
Dylan Redford and Harrison Fishman are set to return to explore more neighborhood disputes in the second season of their docuseries, Neighbors, which has been renewed by HBO.
The series, averaging nearly 3 million cross-platform viewers globally per episode since its debut, has resonated with audiences and will conclude its first season on March 20.
Neighbors delves into the often chaotic and complex conflicts that arise between neighbors, highlighting the extreme measures individuals are willing to take to protect their interests.
Among the notable stories featured are that of Danny Smiechowski, a 73-year-old triathlete known for exercising in a tiny yellow mankini in full view of his San Diego community; a feud between Bruce and Darrell Blasius and their Kokomo, Indiana, neighbor over a farm; a struggle over a private beach in Florida; a TikTok influencer and a conspiracy theorist clashing over a fence in rural Montana; and a former Texas senator embroiled in a dispute concerning a prominent concrete wall outside her residence.

The production, helmed by Redford, the grandson of Robert Redford, and Fishman, originated from their fascination with online disputes, prompting a nationwide road trip to capture more intricate and messy stories than what typically appears on social media platforms.
Produced by A24 and Central Pictures, the series features executive producers Redford, Fishman, Eli Bush, Ronald Bronstein, and JP Lopez Ali, with Rachel Walden producing for Gummy Films.
Nina Rosenstein, Executive Vice President of HBO Programming, Late Night & Specials, praised the show, stating, “Everyone has a neighbor story, and Dylan and Harrison have a knack for finding ones that make you laugh, cringe, and make it impossible to look away. At a time when even the smallest disagreements can spiral out of control, Neighbors feels both hilariously absurd and surprisingly relatable. What makes the show special isn’t just the stories and people they find, but the empathy and humanity they bring to each episode. Season 2 can’t come soon enough.”
In response, Redford and Fishman expressed gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with HBO, A24, Central, Gummy Films, and Genma Pictures, saying, “They placed so much trust in us and gave us the freedom to create the show we always envisioned. Thank you to all the incredible neighbors who bravely shared their stories and welcomed us into their lives to make the first season possible. We can’t wait to get back out in the field and introduce audiences to the Neighbors they never knew they had.”
