Empire of the Sun Shares Exciting News About Their 2026 North American Tour
Empire of the Sun Announces 2026 "Ask That God: Afterlife" Tour
Empire of the Sun has officially unveiled plans for their "Ask That God: Afterlife" tour, scheduled to traverse North America during the late summer and fall of 2026. This tour follows their 2025 "Ask That God" trek, which supported their 2024 album of the same name. The upcoming shows will mark the “final installment” of the Ask That God journey, featuring support from artists Polo & Pan and Midnight Generation.
The tour will kick off after several festival appearances, including performances at Osheaga and Outside Lands. It will commence at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado, on August 11, 2026, and will make stops in cities such as Kansas City, Milwaukee, Toronto, and New York City. The tour is set to conclude with a performance in Las Vegas on October 9.
Tickets for the 2026 tour will be available first through an artist pre-sale beginning on Tuesday, March 17, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Fans can register for pre-sale access until March 15 at 11:59 p.m. PST. A separate Live Nation pre-sale will take place on March 19, with general ticket sales starting on March 20 at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
Frontman Luke Steele expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming tour, stating, "It feels like a very pivotal time. We have a new song to sing, we have to step into a new doorway — a new chapter. The world is changing. It feels like a revolution in the world and we have to unite. Love is the power weapon.” He further elaborated on the tour’s themes of optimism and transformation, describing it as "a tour of unknowns and possibilities — new visions, new plateaus, fragile breakthroughs."
Empire of the Sun returned in 2024 with Ask That God, marking their first new album release in eight years. The band also introduced a digital deluxe edition that includes two additional tracks featuring Lindsey Buckingham.
