Alabama Guard Aden Holloway Faces Felony Drug Charge Just Before NCAA Tournament
Alabama Guard Aden Holloway Arrested on Felony Marijuana Charge
Aden Holloway, a guard for the Alabama Crimson Tide and the team’s second-leading scorer, was arrested on Monday on suspicion of felony marijuana possession. The 21-year-old player, who is averaging 16.8 points per game, has since been suspended and removed from campus while the investigation is ongoing.
His arrest raises concerns about his participation in the upcoming NCAA tournament, with Alabama set to face Hofstra on Friday.
Alabama head coach Nate Oats expressed confidence in his team’s ability to adapt to Holloway’s absence. "We are well-equipped to handle this situation and remain focused on our tournament run," Oats stated.
This incident adds another layer of complexity as the No. 4 seed Crimson Tide prepares for a critical moment in their season.
