Alix Earle Tries Her Hand at Makeup for the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party: Here’s What Happened
Alix Earle Takes the Spotlight at the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Alix Earle made a striking impression at the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, opting to handle her own makeup in a bold move before the often-glamorous event held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
On March 15, Earle shared her getting-ready journey through a TikTok video, beginning with a bare face and admitting, “This might be a terrible idea, but I’m doing my own makeup. I’m slightly regretting this decision, but it’s too late now.” In her preparation, she chose to forgo her usual glam style, saying she was “channeling her inner makeup artist.”
Earle explained that all the makeup artists she typically enlisted had prior commitments. To lighten the tone, she added, “I decided to do it myself instead of keep looking for more artists while ‘drunk in Vegas.’” She used Mary Phillips’ m.ph underpainting face palette to start her look, focusing on brightening her eyes.
Despite her reservations, she pressed on. "I think I’m gonna try and do fake lashes, but I don’t know how to do that either,” she mentioned, showcasing her determination in the face of uncertainty. Following her makeup techniques, she expressed feeling “anxious” about attending, as she was unfamiliar with many of the guests.
Earle’s dramatic appearance featured a striking red beaded Bob Mackie dress. However, she encountered a minor hiccup with her outfit, revealing to Entertainment Tonight, “I just had to go ask someone for a knife because one of the beading things started coming undone.” In an effort to salvage her vintage look, she resorted to cutting the string causing the issue.
With humor and charm, Earle’s preparation process showcased her personality and ability to navigate the challenges of high-profile events. The evening proved to be a memorable one for the 25-year-old social media star as she stepped confidently onto the red carpet.
