Kim Gordon Shares New Single “PLAY ME” and Announces Upcoming Tour Dates
Kim Gordon Releases Title Track from Upcoming Album and Announces New Tour Dates
Kim Gordon has officially released the title track from her forthcoming album, PLAY ME, while also announcing an expansion of her tour schedule for 2026. The music video for “PLAY ME,” which features an infectious blend of groovy and jazzy elements, showcases Gordon’s unique vocal style as she navigates an outdoor mall, caught in moments of unexpected antics alongside others, through security footage.
In conjunction with the music video, Gordon revealed plans for a tour scheduled to include stops in major cities such as Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco in the coming months. Tickets for these new performances will be available starting Friday, March 13th, at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
The album PLAY ME is set to be released on March 13th through Matador Records. This 12-track project marks another collaboration with producer Justin Raisen, who is noted for his work with artists like Charli XCX and Sky Ferreira. Described in a press release as “an interior record in which a heightened emotionality pulses through physical jams,” the album aims to delve deeper into the complexity of Gordon’s artistry.
“We wanted to do it really fast. It’s more focused, and maybe more confident,” Gordon stated regarding her new album. “I always kind of work off of rhythms, and I knew I wanted it to be even more beat-oriented than the last one. Justin really gets my voice and my lyrics, and he understands how I work — that came forth even more on this record.”
Gordon first announced PLAY ME in January, accompanied by the release of its initial track, “NOT TODAY.” She followed this up with “DIRTY TECH” in February, building anticipation for the full album.
